Cllr Anne Kelly was appointed Chair of the meeting.

To receive any apologies for absence.

Apologies were received from Cllr Mark Townsend.

To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the last meeting, held on 30^th August 2023.

The minutes of the last meeting were agreed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

To consider the exclusion of the Public from the meeting before discussion takes place on the following item of business on the grounds that in view of the nature of the business to be transacted, if the public were present there would be a disclosure to them of exempt information within the meaning of Part VA of the Local Government Act 1972.

RESOLVED, THAT:

The public be excluded from the meeting before discussion took place on the following item of business on the grounds that in view of the nature of the business to be transacted, if the public were present, there would be a disclosure to them of exempt information within the meaning of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

The Licensing Officer reported on a review of a Private Hire Driver’s Licence held by NA in order to determine if NA was a fit and proper person to hold such a licence.

RESOLVED

That having regard to the conduct recorded against NA they should be given a warning on this occasion. 

The Chair added that the panel would be very disappointed should NA be brought before them again.
