Councillor Frank Cant was appointed Chair of the meeeting.

To receive any apologies for absence.

Apologies were received from Councillors Ivor Emo and Jeff Sumner.

To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the last meeting.

The minutes of the meeting held on 5^th September 2019 were agreed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

To consider a review of a private hire driver’s licence.

The Licensing Officer reported on a review of a Private Hire Driver’s Licence held by SB in order to determine if SB was a fit and proper person to hold such a licence.

SB was not present at the meeting and as SB had not made a request to have the hearing deferred the Committee decided to determine the matter in SB’s absence.

RESOLVED

That having regard to the conduct recorded against SB the private hire driver’s licence be revoked on the grounds under section 61(1)(b) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.
