To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the last meeting.

The minutes of the last meeting held on 24th November 2020 were agreed as a correct record.

Exclusion of the Public

To consider the exclusion of the Public from the meeting before discussion takes place on the following items of business on the grounds that in view of the nature of the business to be transacted, if the public were present there would be a disclosure to them of exempt information within the meaning of Part VA of the Local Government Act 1972.

That the public be excluded from the meeting before discussion took place on the next item of business in view of the nature of the business to be transacted, if a member of the public were present there would be a disclosure to them of exempt information within the meaning of Part VA of the Local Government Act 1972.

Review of Private Hire Driver`s Licence

To consider a review of a Private Hire Driver`s Licence.

Minutes:

The Licensing Officer reported on a review of a Private Hire Driver`s Licence held by RA in order to determine if RA was a fit and proper person to hold such a licence.

 

RA was present at the meeting and was represented by KM.

 

RESOLVED

 

 

That having regard to the conduct recorded against RA (overtaking other queueing traffic and failing to stop at a red light in circumstances that indicate more than mere carelessness, and thereby endangering the safety of pedestrians crossing the road) and in light of previous driving offences committed, the Private Hire Driver`s Licence be suspended for a period of six months with immediate effect in the interests of public safety
