Apologies for absence were received from Councillor Christine White.

To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the last meeting.

The minutes of the meeting held on 27^th November 2017 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

To determine whether the holder of a Private Hire Driver’s Licence is a fit and proper person to hold such a licence.

The Licensing Officer reported on the conduct of RM the current holder of a Private Hire Driver’s Licence.

RM was present at the meeting and was represented by CO.  FA was also in attendance as an interpreter for RM.

RESOLVED

That no further action be taken against RM.  The Committee decided to depart from Council policy on this occasion because of exceptional circumstance which were that RM’s employer was late in taking action on receiving the S172 notice which resulted in RM being unable to take a speed awareness course in a timely manner.
