Councillor Ivor Emo welcomed all attendees to the meeting, including Nick Bargh (Head of PLBC), and Councillor Phil Riley (Executive Member for Regeneration) and Martin Kelly (Director of Growth and Development) both from Blackburn and Darwen Borough Council.

Reasons For Decision

To ensure the Joint Committee is kept fully informed of Pennine Lancashire Building Control’s budget position, income targets and performance.

To provide the Joint Committee with performance monitoring information updated to include period June to July 2019.

 

Reason For Decision

To ensure that the Joint Committee is kept fully informed of Pennine Lancashire’s Building Control’s operational performance against the targets set out in the Business Plan and the Policy and Procedures Manual.

 

Decision

That the performance monitoring data provided from June to July 2019 be noted by the Joint Committee.

Appointment of Secretary of PLBC for the remainder of 2019-20

To consider the appointment of the secretary of PLBC for the remainder of 2019-20

Minutes:

Decision

That the appointment of Secretary of PLBC be decided at the next meeting on 29th October 2019, with current arrangements to continue until then.

12.

Date of Next Meeting and Future meetings

To confirm that the next meeting will be held on the 29th October 2019 at Burnley at 4.30pm, and that future meetings will be held on the following dates and times;

21st January 2020 (Blackburn) at 4.30pm

16th June 2020 (Burnley) at 4.30pm

·         29th October 2019 at Burnley;

·         21st January 2020 at Blackburn; and

·         16th June 2020 at Burnley.
