Determination of a Premises Licence Application

To determine a Premises Licence application under the Licensing Act 2003 relating to Lowerhouse Pub Canteen, Lowerhouse Lane, Burnley.

Minutes:

John Clucas outlined the reason for the hearing in relation to an application for a premises licence for Lowerhouse Pub Canteen and presented a report to members on behalf of the Licensing Authority under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003.

 

A local resident, presented objections to the application for a premises licence at Lowerhouse Pub Canteen, Lowerhouse Lane, Burnley.

 

Peter Henderson, as the representative for the applicants presented the case to apply for a premises licence at Lowerhouse Pub Canteen

 

Christopher Anthony Gorton and Kirk Leigh Gorton, the applicants were present at the meeting.

 

DECISION AND REASON FOR DECISION

 

That the application for a premises licence at Lowerhouse Pub Canteen   be granted subject to the conditions detailed in the operating schedule as submitted and appended to the report.

 

The Chair asked the applicants to be mindful of the specified closing times on the licence which were the hours by which customers must have vacated the premises. This would need to be taken into account when stopping serving drinks or playing music.
