To consider proposed revisions to private hire operator and vehicle licence conditions including pre-licence requirements.

A report was submitted by Mr James Astin requesting that the Licensing Committee approve proposed revisions to private hire operator and vehicle conditions, including pre-licensing requirements, with immediate effect.  Copies of the revised conditions were attached to the report at appendices A and B.  Revisions to the conditions and pre-licence requirements were highlighted within the report.

Grounds for the requested revisions were outlined within the report.  Details of consultees, which had included the Taxi Task Group Trade Representatives were also outlined within the report.

RESOLVED

That the Licensing Committee approve the revisions made to private hire operator conditions and private vehicle conditions relating to pre-licence and ongoing requirements, as outlined in appendices A and B, with immediate effect.
